Friday, June 29, 2007Hey peeps!If you're going NUS and applied for hostel, the results are out! I guess everyone should know right, but haiya, just in case some people don't ya. So I'm confirm staying at Kent Ridge! Anyone else residing in the same hall tell me ya. =) I do hope this friend of mine who helped me get into Kent Ridge will also get it too, I feel horrible. =X Please let her get in. =X Sunday, June 24, 2007The class outing yesterday was great. I learnt how to cycle! (like FINALLY) haha. So first, I must thank Valr. VALR, THANK YOU!!! =) And thank you Sabby, Chin Shyan and Eileen for teaching me how to cycle! You don't know how grateful and happy I am. =)I told my mum what hurt after cycling and guess what she said, "it'll be worse tomorrow(like sabby said), you'll walk like a duck." DUCK, can you imagine what its like to walk like a duck. However, I think she is pretty accurate cause I do think i'm walking like a duck around the house now. =X Nevertheless, I'm extremely happy that i got to cycle! WHEE!! It was really nice meeting everyone again. It was the good ol-times again.Cheryl, you can do it too! Let's go cycling someday!! *grin* And Cheryl, don't lose hope ya, like Mei Yi said, we'll all pull through this together. Don't stop finding for alternatives ya. Thursday, June 07, 2007Hey there!!!I am finally back to update. I think I am a little crazy now so I am going to try typing in full sentences in proper English. =) I got back from my 6 day trip to Beijing/Tianjin last week and I really enjoyed myself. I think the most wonderful thing I have brought back with me is the urge to want to learn more about the history of China. See, I told you I am crazy. And another factor contributing to this madness is my 5 day in a row driving lessons. It is embarrassing I tell you to walk into the school everyday with the instructors staring and you could tell they were probably thinking "Hey, didn't we just see her yesterday?" Anyways, I am quite over their stares. I think the MOST embarrassing moment had to be going up the curbs 4 times in a lesson!!!! That was my second lesson and I didn't think much of it because I thought it was common and no one would notice, but NO! The instructor the next day said "You look familiar. You were the one that drove up the curb yesterday right?" My goodness!!! He actually saw! I could not help but wonder how many more people saw. And during that lesson, I went up the curb AGAIN!!! Once only thankfully. =X Man, that really explains some of the stares I got. I got to finally drive on the road today. =) With the other vehicles and I realise the timing that I had chosen to take my test is a horrible time. The traffic is heavy. =( As we all know, some seasoned drivers(whom are a little sick in the head I find) find joy in "disturbing" learner drivers. And I experienced some of that today. =X I think I am a little to reckless on the road because I could not stand drivers overtaking me!!! And i kept accerlerating until the instructor kept telling me to slow down slow down. =X I was cruising at around 60km/hwhich is the maximum speed limit on the road. Bad of me I know. I shall have to slow down for my lessons tomorrow. I think the instructor was kind of shocked as well when he told me to make a left turn at the traffic junction and i filtered right, he jumped to the steering wheel to turn it back and I jumped because I got a shock that I actually heard wrongly and nearly caused an accident. =X All in all, driving is really fun. Seriously. I cannot wait to get my hands on those wheels again. => Anyone going to NUS and staying in the halls, please tell me, I do not want to be alone. *weeps* |
